An endowment gift to Conception Abbey today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.
Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at Conception Abbey. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.
CSC Endowment: The purpose of this endowment is to aid Conception Seminary College (CSC) in its mission of educating students preparing for priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. Monies given to endow this fund shall be conserved in perpetuity, and awards of aid made in the name of this fund shall be taken only from the earnings upon this endowment. The principal of this fund shall not be available for any purpose other than to be kept in perpetuity to enable interest to be earned on such principal and as from now on indicated.
Retirement Endowment: The earnings are to be used to support the retirement needs of Benedictine monks for continued health care and support.
Facilities Endowment: The facilities endowment will support maintenance for our buildings and allow us to invest in new equipment and improvements to the infrastructure.
Basilica Endowment: The Basilica endowment will support the maintenance and repair of our basilica church to maintain this sacred space central in the lives of the monks and seminarians as well as the thousands of pilgrims who visit the Abbey each year.
Longtime supporters Susan and Charlie have two goals: First, they want to make sure Conception Abbey continues to receive support after they're gone. Second, they want to memorialize Charlie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
Susan and Charlie make a $25,000 donation to Conception Abbey, which we invest, and each year, a portion of the income from the invested money will be used to support our mission in honor of the Joneses. Plus, Susan and Charlie get a federal income tax charitable deduction on their taxes because they made a lump-sum gift.
